Marissa Shanbrom is a dancer, choreographer, and dance educator originally from Dresher, PA. She received her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Towson University in 2017 where she performed works by Darrell Grand Moultrie, Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, Kim Bears-Bailey, Runqiao Du, and Vincent Thomas. Marissa has performed professionally throughout the East Coast with Philadanco, Philadanco's Second Company (D2), SynthesisDance, at Carnival Choreographer's Ball, Six Flags Great Adventure and at Koresh Dance Company's Come Together Dance Festival with Project Moshen. Since relocating to Chicago in 2018, Marissa has performed with Alluvion Dance Chicago as a Company Member and is currently a company member with Simantikos Dance Chicago. Marissa is a Barre3 instructor and dance instructor for both the youth and adult program at Dance on Broadway where she is also the Studio Coordinator.  As a choreographer, Marissa has presented her work at Koresh Dance Company's Come Together Dance Festival, KYL/D's Inhale/Exhale performance series, Trifecta Dance Festival, Simantikos Choreo Kick-Off and Chi Dance Fest, Emergence Dance Festival, and Dance Parade New York. Marissa is the founder and Artistic Director of Movementum Dance Project, a brand new Chicago-based dance company and is so excited for the future of the company!
