Abby Newlon is originally from Columbus, Ohio and has lived in Chicago for the past 8 years. She received BAs in Dance and Political Science from Loyola University Chicago in 2017, studying under the instruction of Sandra Kaufmann, Sarah Cullen Fuller, Randall Newsom, Amy Wilkinson, and Mari Jo Irbe. Abby currently teaches ballet, tap, and jazz in the Chicagoland area and performs/choreographs as a freelance dance artist in the city. She has most recently performed works by Virginia VanLeishout, Yariana Baralt-Torres (of Loud Bodies), and Sarah Fluegel. Abby is also a member of Los Angeles- based dance company Geometry as a virtual dance artist. Abby is excited to continue dancing with Movementum Dance Project in its second season!
